POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERDr. Aaron Bayles

Aaron completed his BS in Chemistry at the College of William & Mary and was awarded a Fulbright Open Research grant to develop enhanced perovskite solar cells in Spain. He then completed his PhD in Chemistry at Rice University, with a thesis devoted to understanding the structure-function relationship between nanomaterial surfaces and their catalytic properties. After graduating, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory studying catalyst design and sustainable process engineering. Now, he is a Marie Curie Fellow with the SMSLab focusing on applying plasmonic nanoparticles to solve problems in renewable energy and catalysis.
