ELECTRON MICROSCOPISTDr. Luisa Valencia

Luisa completed her BS in Chemistry at the University of Seville (US) in 2015. After completing a Master’s degree in Science and Technology of New Materials at the US in 2017, she pursued her PhD in Nanoscience and Materials Technologies entitled “Development and characterization by electron microscopy of functional acrylic-based nanocomposites for stereolithography” at the University of Cádiz (UCA). During this period, she undertook a research stay at the Physical Chemistry group at Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands) and then held a position as a Senior Research Fellow at the UCA within the Materials and Nanotechnologies for Innovation research group (INNANOMAT, TEP946).

Currently, she works as Technical Support Staff for the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (ICMS), where she is in charge of the TEM structural characterization of materials using a Tecnai G2 F30 S-TWIN microscope from the LANE electron microscopy service.
