Victoria is a physicist by training and completed her PhD in Science and Technology of New Materials at the University of Seville. In the SMSLab, she is responsible for advanced optical characterisation of materials and the Casimir-Lifshitz force simulation research line. She also supervises students and performs management tasks. Her research is devoted to the study of the optical properties of materials and their effect on different fields such as light-matter interaction and Casimir-Lifshitz interactions, as well as the development and characterisation of new nanomaterials for optical applications.
